Raven Theatre Company has announced three of the four plays that will comprise its 2012-2013 season.
Clifford Odets’ The Big Knife will be the company’s first offering for the year, running September 11 – November 11. Directed by Michael Menendian, the show centers on a top movie star and idealist, whose years of compromise for the sake of a Hollywood career have resulted in the slow destruction of his personality. Menedian is also slated to direct a revival of Charles Fuller’s Pulitzer Prize-winning drama A Soldier’s Play, running February 12 – March 30.
In addition, Cody Estle will direct a revival of Rebecca Gilman’s look at a blind date that turns into a living nightmare, Boy Gets Girl (January 15 – March 2). The company’s final offering will be announced in the near future.
