The event gets kids into shows for free when accompanied by a full-paying adult.
The Broadway League kicked off Kids' Night on Broadway 2015 at a press conference at Sardi's on November 4. The annual event, which will take place this year from January 9-15, allows children aged 6 to 18 the chance to see a Broadway show for free when accompanied by a full-paying adult. This year's Kids' Night on Broadway National Ambassador is two-time Tony Award winner Judith Light, who hosted the event with her former Who's the Boss? leading man, Honeymoon in Vegas star Tony Danza. Guests at the press conference also included Iain Armitage, the budding six-year-old theater critic who posts his adorable reviews to YouTube.
Along with New York, Kids' Night on Broadway will take place in multiple cities. Participating Broadway shows include Aladdin, Wicked, and If/Then, among others. Tickets go on sale November 5.
