WATCH: Molly Shannon Stars in Candid Off-Broadway Play in SNL Sketch
Former Saturday Night Live cast member Molly Shannon returned to Studio 8H last week to host the show, which featured musical guest the Jonas Brothers. In one of the sketches, she portrayed the star of an uncomfortably autobiographical play, which the playwright views from the audience with her boyfriend. While the marquee shows that they are at the “Daniels Theatre,” the exterior is clearly off-Broadway’s Cherry Lane, which was recently purchased by the Hollywood studio A24.
