Manhattan Theatre Club’s new musical revue will honor the producer and director’s legendary six-decade career.
The upcoming musical revue Prince of Broadway will recount the illustrious career of legendary Broadway director and producer Harold Prince, who helped shepherd Company, Follies, Sweeney Todd, She Loves Me, Cabaret, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Fiddler on the Roof, West Side Story, and many other shows to the stage. Yesterday, Manhattan Theatre Club released a video of Prince himself addressing the show's cast and creative team on the first day of rehearsal. Take a look below and listen to what he had to say. The limited engagement will begin preview performances August 3 at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre in advance of an August 24 opening.
