Broadway's Waitress heads into summer with its Summer Sweets promotion, kicking off tomorrow, June 24. The campaign is a partnership with eight dessert hot-spot locations throughout NYC. It will launch with the airing of Toni Senecal’s segment of "Toni On! New York" tomorrow on WLNY-TV at 7:30 p.m. and midnight, and on WCBS-TV at 5:30 a.m. on June 25.

Each dessert partner has created a unique Waitress-themed dessert available at their locations during the eight-week campaign running from June 24-August 19. Partners include Sugar Factory, Serendipity 3, Billy’s Bakery, Milk and Cream Cereal Bar, Ice & Vice, and City Cakes in Manhattan, along with The Good Batch and Peter Pan Donuts & Pastry Shop in Brooklyn. When customers visit participating locations, there will be information on how to enter to win a free pair of tickets to Waitress on Broadway. More information can be found at

Inspired by Adrienne Shelly's 2007 motion picture, Waitress features songs by Sara Bareilles, a book by Jessie Nelson, and direction by Diane Paulus. Now running at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre, the production stars Betsy Wolfe as Jenna, an expert pie maker in a small town who dreams of a way out of her loveless marriage with her husband Earl (Joe Tippett). A baking contest in a nearby county and the town’s new doctor (Chris Diamantopoulos) may offer her a chance at a new life, while her fellow waitresses offer their own recipes to happiness. But Jenna must find the courage and strength within herself to rebuild her life.

The Broadway company's original Dr. Pomatter, Drew Gehling, returns to the cast on June 27. The current ensemble also features Eric Anderson (Cal), Charity Angél Dawson (Becky), Tony Award nominee Christopher Fitzgerald (Ogie), Caitlin Houlahan (Dawn), and Dakin Matthews (Joe).
