Tommy Tune, Patti Murin, and More Cast in Lady, Be Good at New York City Center

The Gershwin musical opens the 2015 Encores! season.

Casting has been announced for the New York City Center Encores! production of Lady, Be Good, set to open the 2015 season.

The 1924 musical features a score by George and Ira Gershwin and a book by Guy Bolton and Fred Thompson. The story follows, a penniless brother and sister, Dick and Susie Trevor, who crash a garden party in hopes of some quick nourishment. They resolve to marry for money, but love quickly gets in the way.

The Encores! cast will star nine-time Tony winner Tommy Tune (Grand Hotel) as Jeff, Colin Donnell (Violet) as Jack Robinson, Danny Gardner (White Christmas) as Dick Trevor, Jeff Hiller (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson) as Bertie Bassett, Erin Mackey (Sweeney Todd at Lincoln Center) as Shirley Vernon, Patti Murin (Lysistrata Jones) as Susie Trevor, Richard Poe (All the Way) as Rufus Parke/Manuel Estrada, Jennifer Laura Thompson (Wicked) as Josephine Vanderwater, and Kirsten Wyatt (Annie) as Daisy Parke.

Lady, Be Good, featuring direction by Mark Brokaw and choreography by Randy Skinner, will offer seven performances from February 4-8, 2015.
