Constance Shulman Will Join the Cast of The Holes

Beginning November 2, Constance Shulman will join the cast of The Holes by Max Wolf Friedlich, taking over the role of Martha from Tina Benko. Directed by Michael Herwitz, the play has been extended at the Wild Project through November 29.

Shulman’s screen credits include Orange Is the New Black, Broad City, and the voice of Patty Mayonnaise in Nickelodeon’s animated series Doug.

The Holes, which also stars Bubba Weiler, Grantham Coleman, and Jack Mulhern, is a dark comedy set in a decaying bar in a rapidly gentrifying city upstate, where a padlocked back room offers pleasure, relief, and perhaps something far more dangerous.

TheaterMania’s Zachary Stewart wrote of the play in his review, “Ambitious, ballsy, and overwritten, it boldly confronts the off-Broadway audience with a story that needs to be heard, whether we’re ready for it or not.”
