Tom Hanks will appear in Tom Hanks at the Hanna at Cleveland’s PlayhouseSquare on October 12, according to a report in the Cleveland Plain Dealer. This one-night-only event will be a fundraiser for the Great Lakes Theater Festival.
Before his career on television and in film, Hanks appeared in productions at the Ohio-based theater, including The Two Gentlemen of Verona in 1978. Proceeds from Hanks’ appearance will go toward raising the last $600,000 in Great Lakes’ $18.3 million campaign to pay for the renovation of the Hanna Theatre, one of the performance spaces at PlayhouseSquare.
