The Little Shubert Theatre Gets a New Name

Off-Broadway’s 499-seat Little Shubert Theatre has been renamed Stage 42. The new name adopts the terminology used for the five venues within the Shubert-owned off-Broadway theater complex, New World Stages, which contains Stage 1 through Stage 5.

The new musical Trip of Love will begin performances at the newly christened Stage 42 on September 26. The new dance musical spectacle, inspired by and set to the biggest hit songs of the 1960s, will feature a cast of 23 and a 10-piece orchestra.

The production incorporates some of the greatest tunes of the '60s including "Blowin' in the Wind," "Born to Be Wild," "California Dreamin'," "I Saw Her Standing There," "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'," "White Rabbit," "You Don't Own Me," and many more.

Trip of Love is created, directed, and choreographed by James Walski.
