Bedlam's Four-Person Othello Will Return in November

Bedlam announced an encore engagement of its production of William Shakespeare’s Othello, directed by Eric Tucker. In this production, four actors—Susannah Hoffman, Susannah Millonzi, Ryan Quinn, and Eric Tucker—inhabit the play’s 19 roles. The encore engagement will run November 7-29 at the West End Theatre.

In Othello, under Iago’s manipulations, the foundations of Othello’s life, and even his reality, begin to cave in around him—and the agency and esteem white society has so conditionally granted him reveal their illusory nature. TheaterMania’s Pete Hempstead wrote in his review, “Bedlam gets props for once again letting us see a classic work in new ways.”

The creative team includes costume designer Sam Debell and lighting designer Cheyenne Sykes. Tucker also did the sound and scenic design.
