Ruth Stage's Inaugural Season to Launch With Revival of Ayn Rand's Night of January 16th

Ruth Stage, the New Jersey/New York based nonprofit production company, unveiled its inaugural theatrical season, which will feature three productions, including the company’s first expansion beyond New York with a Chicago engagement.

Focusing on its mission of reimagining classic works through a psychological lens, Ruth Stage will launch its 2026-27 season this October with a revival of Ayn Rand’s Night of January 16th directed by Theo Devaney at Theatre Row. The full cast and creative team for the immersive courtroom drama, in which audience members serve as the jury, will be announced in the coming weeks.

The company will make its Chicago debut in March and April with Edward Albee’s At Home at the Zoo at Theater Wit in Lakeview. The full cast and creative team will be announced at a later date.

The season will conclude next summer with a new production of William Shakespeare’s Macbeth at the Cell, in New York.
