Martin McDonagh’s acclaimed Broadway play, The Lieutenant of Inishmore, will close at the Lyceum Theatre on Sunday, September 3. At the time of its closing, it will have played 16 previews and 142 regular performances. Immediately prior to Broadway, the show played a sold-out limited run Off-Broadway at the Atlantic Theater Company.

Directed by Wilson Milam, the show received 5 Tony Award nominations, including Best Play. The show’s current cast includes David Wilson Barnes, Jordan Bridges, Andrew Connolly, Christopher Denham, Dashiell Eaves, Peter Gerety, Jerzy Gwiazdowski, and Alison Pill.

In his review of the production, TheaterMania reviewer David Finkle said, “Much of what distinguishes McDonagh’s work is his ability to execute a theatrical trick that few others can: treating a serious subject with sobriety and sending it up at the same time.”
