The Humans, Starring Reed Birney and Jayne Houdyshell, Celebrates Opening Night

The Humans, written by Pulitzer Prize finalist Stephen Karam, celebrated its opening night at Roundabout Theatre Company's Laura Pels Theatre on October 25. Joe Mantello directs the dark comedy, which had its world premiere at Chicago's American Theater Company in 2014.

In The Humans, Erik (Tony nominee Reed Birney) has broken with tradition and brought his Pennsylvania family to celebrate Thanksgiving at his daughter's apartment in lower Manhattan. As darkness falls, family tensions reach a peak, and the heart and horrors of the clan are exposed. Cassie Beck, Jayne Houdyshell, Lauren Klein, Arian Moayed, and Sarah Steele complete the company.
