Stanley Tucci Set for Ed Lucas Film

Stage and screen star Stanley Tucci will play the title role in the upcoming film, Ed Lucas, according to Deadline.com.

The film centers on a blind sports writer, and is inspired by a true story printed in Sports Illustrated. Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel are writing the screenplay, and the film is being produced by Two Lefts Don’t Make A Right Productions’ Elliot Abbott and S2BN Entertainment’s Michael Cohl.

Tucci directed the 2010 Broadway revival of Lend Me a Tenor, and starred on Broadway in Frankie & Johnnie in the Clair de Lune. He received a 2010 Oscar nomination for The Lovely Bones, and has appeared in numerous films including Julie and Julia, The Devil Wears Prada, and The Hunger Games.
