Sparrowtree Theatre Company has announced casting for the new musical Hansel & Gretel, to run September 16-25 at 17 Frost in Brooklyn. Bookwriter Chad Howard will direct the production.
The multimedia production, based on the Brothers Grimm fairy tale, will feature composer/lyricist Carly Howard and Dustin Cross in the title roles, along with Michael Castillejos, Halley Cianfarini, Alicia Fitzgerald, K.C. Leiber, Jenni Oman, Ken Quiricone, Melissa Ryan, and Alison Beth Swenson.
The creative team will include choreographer Jenni Oman, musical director David Harris, and costume designer by Dustin Cross.
