Seinfeld and Chicago Veteran John O'Hurley to Join The Fantasticks

John O'Hurley is set to join the cast of the long-running off-Broadway musical The Fantasticks at The Theater Center. He will take on the role of the dashing narrator El Gallo for a limited engagement that begins on December 12 and concludes January 1.

O'Hurley is best known for playing J. Peterman on Seinfeld. He was the host of Family Feud for four seasons and has voiced characters in dozens of animated productions including Nickelodeon's SpongeBob SquarePants and NBC's Father of the Pride.

The Fantasticks, featuring music by Harvey Schmidt and book, lyrics, and direction by Tom Jones, follows a boy and girl who fall in love and then quickly grow apart. The score includes hit songs such as "Try to Remember," "Soon It's Gonna Rain," and "They Were You."

The current cast features Nathan Goodrich as The Boy (Matt), Madison Claire Parks as The Girl (Luisa), Donald Corren as The Boy's Father (Hucklebee), Dale Hensley as The Girl's Father (Bellomy), MacIntyre Dixon as The Old Actor (Henry), Michael Nostrand as The Man Who Dies (Mortimer), and Drew Seigla as The Mute. The production also features John Thomas Waite, Rob Richardson, and Kimberly Immanuel.
