Scott Parkinson will star in Denis O’Hare and Lisa Peterson‘s adaptation of Homer’s Iliad, translated by Robert Fagles. David Muse will direct Studio Theatre’s production at The Mead Theatre, to run December 21-January 13, 2013.
In the solo play, a storyteller grapples with the mythology, brutality, and humanity of Homer’s epic poem.
Parkinson has appeared on Broadway in The Coast of Utopia, and Off-Broadway in Our Town, The Third Story, Orson’s Shadow, Rose Rage, and Crime & Punishment. His many regional credits include the title role in Hamlet, as well as productions of Antony and Cleopatra, Divine Rivalry, and more.
