Sarah Lark will star as Miss Mona in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, to run October 18-November 12 at the Union Theatre.
Paul Taylor-Mills will direct the production, which will have choreography by Richard Jones and musical direction by Tom Turner. Additional casting will be announced shortly.
With music and lyrics by Carol Hall and a book by Peter Masterson, the show, based on a true story, centers on Miss Mona Stangley, the proprietor of the famed Chicken Ranch, who, with local sheriff Ed Earl Dodd, fights to keep the doors open to the century-old brothel.
Lark is perhaps best known for her appearances on the BBC reality series I’d Do Anything. Among her West End credits are Oliver!, Snoopy!, The Witches of Eastwick, Beautiful & Damned and Mamma Mia!.
