Vineyard Theatre has announced that its 2016 gala will be hosted by actors Michael Urie and Ryan Spahn. As previously announced, the event will honor award-winning actress and Vineyard Board President Kathleen Chalfant and New York theatrical press agent Sam Rudy. The annual fundraiser is set to take place on March 14 at The Edison Ballroom.
The lineup of stars set to participate in the event includes Veanne Cox, Colman Domingo, Sally Field, Santino Fontana, Ann Harada, Bill Irwin, John Kander, Ellen McLaughlin, Katryna Neilds, Bill Pullman, Molly Ringwald, Mercedes Ruehl, Stephen Spinella, Maura Tierney, and more to be announced. Scott Schwartz will direct the evening, with musical direction by Paul Masse.
Broadway veteran Kathleen Chalfant is Vineyard Theatre's newly elected board president and has entered her 20th year of board service. Sam Rudy has spent 35 years in New York working as a publicist for countless shows on, off, and off-off Broadway.
The Vineyard's gala event will include a cocktail hour and auction, dinner, and a performance. Tables are $25,000, $15,000, and $10,000, and individual tickets are $2,500, $1,500, and $1,000.
