Ricky Rojas Returns to Moulin Rouge! With West End Star Sophie Carmen-Jones
Ricky Rojas will return to the Broadway company of Moulin Rouge! The Musical in the role he created, Santiago. He will be joined by original West End cast member Sophie Carmen-Jones, who will be making her Broadway debut as Nini. Both actors are slated to begin their run on April 11.
They join the previously announced Joanna "JoJo" Levesque, who will be making her Broadway debut as Satine. The cast also includes Tony Award nominee Derek Klena as Christian, Eric Anderson as Harold Zidler, André Ward as Toulouse-Lautrec, and David Harris as The Duke of Monroth.
The current leads of the production, Aaron Tveit and Ashley Loren, will play their final performances as Christian and Satine on Sunday, April 9.
Moulin Rouge! The Musical is directed by Alex Timbers, written by John Logan, choreographed by Sonya Tayeh, and has music supervision, orchestrations, and arrangements by Justin Levine. It is based on the beloved film by Baz Luhrmann and is the recipient of 10 Tony Awards.
