Pippin and Chicago Star Carly Hughes to Perform New Solo Show

Hughes is set to return to Broadway’s ”Chicago” this month.

Broadway's Carly Hughes (Chicago) is set to make her solo debut at 54 Below on August 7 at 9:30pm. Carly Live at 54 Below! will feature the actress performing stylings of "jazz, pop, and everything in between."

The event will feature musical direction by Sonny Paladino (associate conductor of Pippin) and arrangements by Sonny Paladino and Joe Drymala.

Carly Hughes most recently appeared on Broadway as Velma Kelly in Chicago and as The Leading Player in Pippin. A recipient of the prestigious Princess Grace Awards, Hughes' additional Broadway credits include Beautiful — The Carole King Musical, The Book of Mormon, Ghost, Ragtime, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and Dr. Seuss' The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. Hughes is also featured in the upcoming movie adaptation of Ahrens & Flaherty’s musical Lucky Stiff.

Hughes is set to return to Broadway's Chicago from August 22-September 4. She will be stepping in for Amra Faye Wright during her hiatus.
