PHOTO FLASH: Rebecca Faulkenberry, Andy Karl, Orfeh Attend Broadway’s Jesus Christ Superstar

On Monday, March 5, the new Broadway production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s musical Jesus Christ Superstar invited members of the the Broadway community to join them at a preview performance of the show at the Neil Simon Theatre.

Broadway guests included Rebecca Faulkenberry from Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark; Jonathan Warren and Betsy Werbel from Wicked; Andy Karl, Erik Bates, Quinn VanAntwerp, and Jessica Rush from Jersey Boys; as well as Adrian Bailey, Chris Hoch (Rated P for Parenthood), Ricky Yates, Orfeh, Tomar Wilson, and Ryan Watkinson.

The production, which is set to open March 22, originated at The Stratford Shakespeare Festival with direction by Tony Award winner Des McAnuff.

The cast features Paul Nolan as Jesus Christ, Josh Young as Judas Iscariot, Chilina Kennedy as Mary Magdalene, Tom Hewitt as Pontius Pilate, Bruce Dow as King Herod, Marcus Nance as Caiaphas, and Aaron Walpole as Annas.
