Second Stage Theater has announced that Paul Schneider (Parks and Recreation) will complete the cast of the Broadway production of Young Jean Lee's Straight White Men, directed by Anna D. Shapiro, at the Helen Hayes Theater starting Friday, June 29, with opening night set for Monday, July 23. Schneider joins a cast that includes the previously announced Armie Hammer, Tom Skerritt, Josh Charles, Kate Bornstein, and Ty Defoe.

In Straight White Men, "it's Christmas Eve, and Ed has gathered his three adult sons to celebrate with matching pajamas, trash-talking, and Chinese takeout. But when a question they can't answer interrupts their holiday cheer, they are forced to confront their own identities."

With Straight White Men, Lee will become the first Asian-American female playwright to be produced on Broadway. Shapiro will make her Second Stage directorial debut with this production. The production will also mark the Broadway debuts of Schneider, Hammer, Charles, Bornstein, and Defoe; Skerritt made his Broadway debut in the 2013 production of A Time to Kill.

The play will feature scenic design by Todd Rosenthal, costume design by Suttirat Larlarb, lighting design by Donald Holder, and sound design by M.L. Dogg.
