The musical comedy runs off-Broadway at the Davenport Theatre.
Pageant — The Musical has announced that it will end its long off-Broadway run at the Davenport Theatre on October 26. The production, which began performances on June 29 and officially opened on July 14, extended three times — most recently through January 5.
Based on a beauty pageant, the musical is written by Bill Russell and Frank Kelly, with music by Albert Evans and concept by Robert Longbottom. The show's design includes costumes by Stephen Yearick, scenic design by Paul DePoo, lighting by Paul Miller, and sound by David Sanderson. This new production is directed by Matt Lenz, with choreography by Shea Sullivan and music direction by Mark Hartman.
The cast features Nick Cearley, Nic Cory, Alex Ringler, Marty Thomas, Seth Tucker, and Curtis Wiley, with John Bolton as the host. A cast recording of the musical will be released in October.
