Danielle Tarento in association with Southwark Playhouse will present Mack and Mabel, July 5-August 25 at The Vault at Southwark Playhouse. Thom Southerland will direct. Musical direction will be by Michael Bradley.
Mack and Mabel has a book by Michael Stewart and music and lyrics by Jerry Herman. The Southwark Playhouse production is revised by Francine Pascal and based on an idea by Leonard Spigelgass. The play follows the real-life romantic relationship between movie director Mack Sennett and stage screen Mabel Normand.
The cast will feature Norman Bowman as Mack and Laura Pitt-Pulford as Mabel.
The design team will include Jason Denvir (set and costume design), Howard Hudson (lighting design), and Andrew Johnson (sound design). Choreography is by Lee Proud.
