Mero Cocinero to Host ¡Viva la Soul Power! Performance and Culinary Experience

The People’s Cook in partnership with Intermedia Arts will present ¡Viva la Soul Power!, a live performance and culinary experience hosted by cook Mero Cocinero, November 1-10 at Intermedia Arts, as part of Robert Farid Karimi’s 28 Days of Good Energía.

28 Days of Good Energía is a cross-cultural arts event created to encourage communities to use the power of their own cultural stories, rituals, and recipes to curb Type 2 Diabetes. Events will include Feed & Be Fed, an interactive art exhibit, and an Open Kitchen Community Potluck in addition to Cocinero’s ¡Viva la Soul Power!.

Based in Minneapolis/St. Paul, The People’s Cook invites audiences to feed and be fed by bringing the funny to foodie in cities such as Chicago, Phoenix, Philadelphia and San Francisco and incorporating local artists and community members into their residencies.
