Funny Girl star Lea Michele and Tony Award winner Myles Frost (MJ) will announce the nominations for the 76th annual Tony Awards next Tuesday, May 2, at 8:30am ET. A selection of categories will be read live on CBS Mornings while the rest will be announced at 9am on the Tony Awards official YouTube channel.

Frost was the winner of last season’s Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical for his portrayal of Michael Jackson in MJ. Michele is currently starring in the Broadway revival of Funny Girl, having controversially replaced the original lead actor, Beanie Feldstein.

The Tony Awards eligibility cut-off date for the 2022-2023 season is Thursday, April 27, 2023 for all Broadway productions which meet all eligibility requirements. More rulings on eligibility are expected in the days before the nominations are announced.

The winners will be announced on Sunday, June 11, in a ceremony hosted by Ariana DeBose.
