Tony Award and Emmy Award winner Kristin Chenoweth will host a special benefit party for her charity, Maddie’s Corner, at New York City Center on Saturday, June 2 immediately following her concert there. The benefit will be open to everyone, and separate tickets must be purchased, even by those attending the concert.
The concert, which will be directed by Richard-Jay Alexander and feature songs from her latest CD, Some Lessons Learned, is part of a seven-week, 19-city tour, which will launch on May 9 in Seattle and end on June 24 in her hometown of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma at the Broken Arrow Performing Arts Center.
Maddie’s Corner was founded by Chenoweth in honor of her beloved Maltese, Maddie. Its mission is to bring attention and support to animals in need and groups working on their behalf as well as to highlight the many ways animals help people and enrich our lives
Chenoweth won a Tony Award for You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown and has also starred on Broadway in Wicked, The Apple Tree, Epic Proportions, and Promises, Promises. She won an Emmy Award for her portrayal of Olive Snook in Pushing Daisies and currently stars on the upcoming ABC series G.C.B.
