Kristin Chenoweth and Alan Cumming to Host This Year's Tony Awards

The Broadway pair will lead the show on June 7.

Past Tony Award winners Alan Cumming and Kristin Chenoweth have been tapped to host this year's Tony Awards telecast, according to the New York Post.

Cumming won a Tony for his performance as the Emcee in Roundabout Theatre Company's revival of Cabaret in 1998, a role he reprised in a 2014 remounting of the production. His Broadway credits also include Macbeth and The Threepenny Opera, among other shows.

Chenoweth won a Tony for her performance in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown and currently stars in On the Twentieth Century. She's also been seen in Promises, Promises, The Apple Tree, and Wicked, among others.

The 69th Annual Tony Awards will be broadcast live on CBS on Sunday, June 7, at 8pm. The Tony Awards, which honors theater professionals for achievement on Broadway, has been broadcast on CBS since 1978. The Tony Awards is presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing. Past hosts include Hugh Jackman and Neil Patrick Harris.
