Jim Parsons Temporarily Out of The Boys in the Band

After sustaining a minor foot injury over the weekend, the ”Big Bang Theory” star is expected back in the production later this week.

UPDATE, May 15, 2018: Jim Parsons will return to The Boys in the Band for this evening's performance.

Jim Parsons is temporarily out of The Boys in the Band after sustaining a foot injury at the Saturday, May 12, matinee performance. However, he is not expected to be out for long.

According to a statement from the production, "He's working with his doctor to ensure a quick recovery and is expected to return to the show as soon as possible this week. Please check BoysintheBand.com for updated information."

Directed by two-time Tony winner Joe Mantello, Mart Crowley's 1968 play revolves around a group of gay men who gather in a Manhattan apartment for a friend's birthday party. The star-studded cast features Parsons, Charlie Carver, Zachary Quinto, Matt Bomer, Andrew Rannells, Robin De Jesús, Brian Hutchison, Michael Benjamin Washington, and Tuc Watkins. The Boys in the Band is now in previews at the Booth Theatre, ahead of opening night on May 31.
