Jenny Powers and More Join Sophia Anne Caruso in Memoirs of Amorous Gentlemen

The complete cast has been announced for Memoirs of Amorous Gentlemen, a new musical with music and lyrics by Tony and Grammy Award winner Duncan Sheik and book by Leah Nanako Winkler. Performances are September 25-January 3, 2027, with an opening night on October 15, at the new venue the Night Egg at the Culture Club.

Based on the manga (graphic novel) Memoirs of Amorous Gentlemen by Moyoco Anno, the first manga to be developed into an American musical in the English language, the musical is directed and choreographed by Tony, Olivier, and Emmy Award winner Rob Ashford.

As previously announced, Sophia Anne Caruso will star as Colette, a young dreamer in 20th-century Paris who finds her power through writing. Joining her are Cory Jeacoma as Léon, Nkeki Obi-Melekwe as Nana, Andy Bakun as Sakae, and Drama Desk Award nominee Jenny Powers as Madame. The cast also includes Leanne Antonio, Kailin Brown, Michael Everett, Elsa Keefe, Jaedynn Latter, Austin Lesch, Nika Lindsay, Caleb Marshall, Jessie Peltier, Michael Starr, and Thomas Winter.

Memoirs of Amorous Gentlemen will feature music supervision, vocal, and incidental music arrangements by Or Matias. The creative team also includes Tony-winning scenic designer Scott Pask, Tony-winning costume designer Catherine Zuber, lighting designer Brian Tovar, Tony-winning sound designer Cody Spencer, and hair and wig designer Tom Watson.
