Ford’s Theatre has announced complete casting for Jason Robert Brown and Alfred Uhry’s Parade, to run September 23 – October 30. Stephen Rayne will direct the production, which will have choreography by Karma Camp and music direction by Steven Landau.
The musical revisits the true story of Leo Frank’s trial and lynching in early 20th-century Atlanta, after he was accused of murdering a teenaged factory girl on the day of the annual Confederate Memorial Day parade.
As previously announced, Euan Morton will star as Frank. The cast will also feature Jenny Fellner as Lucille Frank, Kevin McAllister as Jim Conley, Lauren Williams as Mary Phagan, and Stephen F. Schmidt as Governor Slayton.
The ensemble will include Carolyn Agan, Sandy Bainum, Christopher Bloch, Peter Boyer, Erin Driscoll, Will Gartshore, Kellee Knighten Hough, Matthew John Kacergis, Christina Kidd, James Konicek, Deborah Lubega, Sean-Maurice Lynch, Chris Sizemore, Christopher Talbert, and Bligh Voth.
The creative team will be comprised of scenic designer Tony Cisek, costume designer Wabe Laboissonnaiere, lighting designer Pat Collins, and sound designers David Budries and Charles Coes.
