Lerner and Loewe’s musical stars Lauren Ambrose and Harry Hadden-Paton.

Lerner and Loewe's classic musical My Fair Lady returned to Broadway on April 19 with the opening of Bartlett Sher's new revival at Lincoln Center's Vivian Beaumont Theater.

The production stars Lauren Ambrose as Eliza Doolittle and Harry Hadden-Paton in his Broadway debut as Henry Higgins. Also featured in the cast are Norbert Leo Butz (Alfred P. Doolittle), Diana Rigg (Mrs. Higgins), Allan Corduner (Colonel Pickering), Jordan Donica (Freddy Eynsford-Hill), Linda Mugleston (Mrs. Pearce), and Manu Narayan (Zoltan Karpathy).

Adapted from Bernard Shaw's play and Gabriel Pascal's motion picture Pygmalion, My Fair Lady, premiered on Broadway on March 15, 1956. The legendary original production, directed by Moss Hart and designed by Oliver Smith and Cecil Beaton, starred Rex Harrison and Julie Andrews, won six Tony Awards including Best Musical, and ran for 2,717 performances, making it, at the time, the longest-running musical in Broadway history.

The Lincoln Center Theater revival has choreography by Christopher Gattelli, musical direction by Ted Sperling, sets by Michael Yeargan, costumes by Catherine Zuber, lighting by Donald Holder, and sound by Marc Salzberg.
