Naturi Naughton-Lewis to Join Broadway Cast of The Great Gatsby

She will take over the role of Jordan Baker following a two-decade absence from the Broadway stage.

Naturi Naughton-Lewis will be the next Jordan Baker in The Great Gatsby on Broadway.

Naturi Naughton-Lewis will take over the role of Jordan Baker in the Broadway production of The Great Gatsby. She begins performances at the Broadway Theatre on July 31.

Original Broadway cast member Samantha Pauly will play her final performance as Jordan Baker on July 26.

Naughton-Lewis was last seen on Broadway 20 years ago in the role of Little Inez in the original Broadway production of Hairspray. She is a three-time NAACP Image Award–winning actor best known for her portrayal of Tasha St. Patrick on Power and Power Book II: Ghost. She portrayed Lil’ Kim in Notorious, the 2009 biopic about the Notorious B.I.G.

Based on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel about a Jazz Age tycoon and his impossible love for the woman across the water from his Long Island mansion, The Great Gatsby features a score by Jason Howland (Little Women) and Nathan Tysen (Paradise Square). The book is by Kait Kerrigan (The Mad Ones). Marc Bruni (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical) directed the production, with choreography by Dominique Kelley.

Naughton-Lewis will join the present cast, which includes Reeve Carney(Hadestown) as Jay Gatsby, Eva Noblezada (Hadestown) as Daisy Buchanan, and Corbin Bleu (High School Musical) as Nick Carraway. John Behlmann (Shucked) plays Tom Buchanan, Linedy Genao (Bad Cinderella) is Myrtle Wilson, Charlie Pollock (Urinetown) is George Wilson, and Matthew Saldívar (Bernhardt/Hamlet) is Meyer Wolfsheim.

The ensemble features Alexis Hasbrouck, Curtis Holland, Nathaniel Hunt, Traci Elaine Lee, Alicia Lundgren, Dariana Mullen, Chase Peacock, Dan Rosales, Dave Schoonover, Tess Soltau, Kyla Stone, Preston Taylor, Damani Van Rensalier, and Matt Wiercinski. Kurt Csolak, Haley Fish, Morgan Harrison, Justin Keats, Drew Lake, Brandon J. Large, Emily Anne Nester, Alex Prakken, and Elena Ricardo round out the cast as swings.

TheaterMania’s review of the lavish Broadway production, which opened in 2024, observed, “If you’re going to drop $200 on a Broadway ticket, it certainly gives you your money’s worth.”
