Greta Lee to Star in Film Adaptation of Rachel Bonds's Play Jonah

Greta Lee (Past Lives) will star in a film adaptation of Rachel Bonds’s play Jonah, directed by Danya Taymor in her feature film debut.

Deadline reports the the film will also star Cooper Hoffman, Edmund Donovan, and Hagan Oliveras, who played the title role in the play off-Broadway. Taymor directed that production for Roundabout Theatre Company in 2024, and Bonds is adapting her play for the screen.

Jonah is a memory play about Ana, a young woman whose unresolved trauma shapes her relationships, sexuality, and eventual career.  The play moves back and forth through different periods of Ana’s life, gradually revealing the experiences that have caused her to withdraw from others and seek refuge in her writing
