The first show in the new theater will be William Shakespeare’s As You Like It.

The Samuel H. Scripps Theater Center, Hudson Valley Shakespeare’s (HVS) first-ever permanent home and theater, is officially open in Garrison, New York.
Led by architecture and urban design practice Studio Gang, the design of the Scripps Theater features a curved, timber-framed grid shell, with the Hudson Highlands as a natural backdrop.
As previously reported, the first season in the Scripps Theater Center will include William Shakespeare’s As You Like It, Shakespeare’s King Lear, and a new production of Boublil and Schӧnberg’s Les Misérables.
