Dates have been shifted again for the upcoming Hamilton: The Exhibition, an interactive traveling museum that will continue the American history lesson of Lin-Manuel Miranda's Hamilton. Originally scheduled to open on November 17, 2018, and then postponed to April 6, the museum will now officially begin welcoming the public on April 27.

The latest date change is because of unexpected delays in shipping, customs, and the recent extreme weather conditions in Chicago, where the museum will take up residence on Northerly Island. The exhibition will remain in Chicago through September 8 before moving to other cities across the country.

The project is a collaboration between creative director David Korins, who designed the set for Hamilton, Yale University professor and historian Joanne Freeman, Hamilton creator and original star Lin-Manuel Miranda, director Thomas Kail, and producer Jeffrey Seller. Harvard University history and law professor Annette Gordon-Reed is also contributing to the historical accuracy of the exhibit.

With an audio guide narrated by Miranda, the interactive multimedia exhibit is designed to take visitors deeper into the life and times of Alexander Hamilton, while at the same time chronicling the American Revolution and the creation of the United States of America.
