Full casting has been announced for the Diablo Light Opera Company’s San Francisco East Bay premiere of the Mel Brooks musical, The Producers, to play the Lesher Center for the Arts, February 13-March 15.
Featuring a book by Brooks and Thomas Meehan, based on Brooks’ cult classic film, the musical traces the hijinks of two theatrical producers who scheme to get rich by overselling interests in a Broadway flop.
The principal cast will include Marcus Klinger as Max Bialystock, Ryan Drummond as Leo Bloom, Ginny Wehrmeister as Ulla, Danny Cozart as Franz Liebkind, Tim Johnson as Roger DeBris, Stephen Foreman as Carmen Ghia, and Diane Ratto as Shirley. The ensemble will include Tiffany Davis, Hilary McQuade, Avi Khalsa, Morgan Frazer, Brittany Ogle, Emily Trumble, Mary Kalita, Annie Dahlberg, Marcus Silva, Steven Sloan, Tony Conaty, John Greer, Michael J. Clark, Ned Hansen, John Walbolt, and Stephen Miller.
