Full casting has been announced for the Broadway revival of The Heiress, to play the Walter Kerr Theatre October 7-February 10, with an opening on November 1. Moisés Kaufman will direct.
As previously announced, the production will star Jessica Chastain as Catherine Sloper, with David Strathairn as Dr. Austin Sloper, Dan Stevens as Morris Townsend and Judith Ivey as Lavinia Penniman. Newly announced cast members include Molly Camp as Marian Almond, Kieran Campion as Arthur Townsend, Virginia Kull as Maria, Dee Nelson as Mrs. Montgomery and Caitlin O’Connell as Elizabeth Almond.
The play centers on Chastain’s character, who is caught between her steely, controlling father (played by Strathairn) and a mysterious, handsome suitor (Stevens).
The design team will include Derek McLane (sets), Albert Wolsky (costumes), David Lander (lighting), Peter Golub (original music) and Leon Rothenberg (sound).
