Fred Tallaksen to Direct and Choreograph Disney’s Phineas and Ferb! The Best Live Tour Ever!

Fred Tallaksen will direct and choreograph Disney’s Phineas and Ferb! The Best Live Tour Ever!, which will launch with an engagement in Lakeland, FL on August 21, according to a report in Variety. The production is slated to play an additional 80 U.S. cities.

Based on the Disney Channel’s popular series, the production, written by Bradley Zweig, will include such songs as “Squirrels in My Pants,” which have always been part of the television program about a pair of stepbrothers constantly embarking on new projects and schemes.

Tallaksen’s other theater credits include choreographing the long-running Streep Tease, as well as productions of Damn Yankees, The Music Man, Songs for a New World, Music of the Night, and Miss Desmond Behind Bars.

In addition, he won a 2008 Emmy Award for Best Title Sequence for his work on Sid the Science Kid, and received two Emmy nominations for his choreography on the show Malcolm in the Middle.
