
The winners of the 2009 Peabody Awards were announced today at the University of Georgia’s Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communications. Among the winners are FOX’s hit series Glee and HBO’s No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency, which stars Anika Noni Rose.
The awards, which recognize excellence in radio, television, cable and electronic media, will be presented in a ceremony to be held on May 17 at the Waldorf-Astoria and hosted by Diane Sawyer.
Among the other Peabody Award winners are Modern Family, The Late Late Show with Craig Feruson, In Treatment, and 60 Minutes, which received two honors for two Steve Kroft reports, “The Cost of Dying” and “Sabatoging the System.”
