Gerard Alessandrini will bring back the long-running satirical revue Forbidden Broadway in a new edition to begin performances at the 47th Street Theatre on July 17, with an opening later in the summer, according to The New York Times.
Alessandrini will both write and direct the show, which is expected to include parodies of such shows as Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, Ghost the Musical, The Book of Mormon, Sister Act, and more.
