Before Michael Douglas and Terrence Mann starred in the film version of A Chorus Line, the multi-talented Billy Crystal was already mining the musical for sketch humor. The legendary performer (and star of 700 Sundays on Broadway) presented his short film A Comic's Line on ABC's short-lived television show Fridays. It features a young Crystal playing a series of stand-up comic tropes, from New Jersey wise guy to random guy whose friends tell him he's funny. We're so glad Crystal's Broadway dreams did eventually come true!
