Finding Neverland Announces New Leading Man Following Matthew Morrison's Departure

On the Town Tony nominee Tony Yazbeck will succeed Matthew Morrison in the role of J.M. Barrie in Broadway's Finding Neverland at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre.
Yazbeck (Prince of Broadway) will take over the role beginning Tuesday, January 26. Morrison, as previously announced, will play his final performance on Sunday, January 24. The pair will both play opposite Kelsey Grammer as Charles Frohman/Captain Hook, who returns to the company on Monday, January 19.
Directed by Diane Paulus, Finding Neverland opened April 15 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre after a 2014 tryout run at the American Repertory Theater. Original cast member Laura Michelle Kelly continues with the company as production leading lady Sylvia Llewelyn Davies.
With a score by Gary Barlow and Eliot Kennedy and a book by James Graham, Finding Neverland explores the friendship of playwright J.M. Barrie and Sylvia Llewelyn Davies, a widowed mother whose four boys inspired the beloved Peter Pan stories. It is based on the 2004 film of the same title, which itself was based on Allan Knee's play The Man Who Was Peter Pan.
