EXCLUSIVE: Full Cast Announced for Ma-Yi Theater's Washer/Dryer by Nandita Shenoy

Ma-Yi Theater Company has announced full casting for the upcoming New York premiere of Nandita Shenoy's new comedy Washer/Dryer. Benjamin Kamine will direct the production at the Beckett Theatre at Theatre Row begin January 26 prior to its official opening night on February 2. The run is scheduled through February 21.

In Washer/Dryer, Michael and Sonya are a recently eloped young couple who discover they haven’t been entirely truthful with each other as they settle into Sonya’s Manhattan studio apartment with its own stackable washer/dryer as a key perk. The play comes to New York following its world-premiere at East West Players in Los Angeles last winter, and a subsequent production in Chicago this fall.

The cast of Washer/Dryer features Annie McNamara, Nandita Shenoy, Jade Wu, Johnny Wu, and Jamyl Dobson.

Design for Washer/Dryer includes scenic design bt Anshuman Bhatia, costume design by Dede Ayite, lighting design by Jonathan Cottle, and sound design by Miles Polaski.
