Academy Award nominee Elizabeth McGovern will star in a revival of David Mamet’s The Shawl at the Arcola Theatre in London, September 9-October 3. Amelia Nicholson will direct the production, which will also star Matthew Marsh and Paul Rattray.
Mamet’s 1985 play focuses on a troubled woman who seeks guidance from a clairvoyant, who may not be all he seems. Mamet will be represented on Broadway this season by Race and Oleanna, as well as the Off-Broadway productions of his one-acts Keep Your Pantheon and School.
The creative team includes production designer Anna Bliss Scully, lighting designer Richard Howell, and sound designer Tom Gibbons.
