Don’t Lose Your Head: Six Will End Broadway Run in January

After 2,178 performances, the hit Broadway musical Six will end its run at the Lena Horne Theatre on January 3, 2027.

Six is the longest-running show in the history of the Lena Horne Theatre (formerly the Brooks Atkinson), the 40th-longest-running show in Broadway history, and the seventh-longest-running Broadway show to have originated in the United Kingdom.

Written by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, Six began performances in 2020; its original opening night was March 12, the date of the COVID-19 shutdown.

It became the first new musical to open on Broadway after theaters reopened, with a cast made up of Adrianna Hicks, Andrea Macasaet, Abby Mueller, Brittney Mack, Samantha Pauly, and Anna Uzele. In 2022, it won the Tony Award for Best Original Score and the Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding New Broadway Musical.

The current cast is made up of Natalie Paris, Khaila Wilcoxon, Chloe Tucker Caine, Olivia Donalson, Stephanie Jae Park, and Aimie Atkinson. Lauryn Adams, Aryn Bohannon, Maggie Likcani, and Aiyana Smash serve as altenrates.

Co-directed by Lucy Moss and Jamie Armitage, Six features choreography by Carrie-Anne Ingrouille. The creative team includes Emma Bailey (scenic design), Tony Award winner Gabriella Slade (costume design), Tim Deiling (lighting design), Paul Gatehouse (sound design), Tom Curran (orchestrations), Joe Beighton (music supervision), and Roberta Duchak (U.S. music supervision).

A filmed version, featuring Paris, Atkinson, and the rest of the original West End cast, is available internationally.
