Darren Criss Participated in Reading of New Play by Nick Jonas

Broadway alum and former member of the Jonas Brothers, Nick Jonas, hosted a reading of his new play Dessert First over the past weekend at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, according to Variety.
The cast of the reading featured Broadway veterans Darren Criss (Hedwig and the Angry Inch), Molly Shannon (Promises, Promises), Killian Donnelly (Kinky Boots), and Kevin Covert (How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying) as well as Nina Dobrev, Omar Miller, Damian O'Hare, Lola Kelly, and Rebecca Kitt.
In attendance at the reading were several studio executives and movie producers, including Broadway, film, and television producer Marc Platt (La La Land).
Perhaps best known as one-third of the boy band the Jonas Brothers, Nick Jonas has appeared on the Great White Way several times. As a child he appeared in Les Misérables, Beauty and the Beast, and Annie Get Your Gun, while more recently he stepped into the starring role in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying in 2012.
