D'Arcy Carden (The Good Place) will make her Broadway debut, and Scott Foley (Scandal), Chris Sullivan (This Is Us), and Tony winner Katie Finneran (Promises, Promises) will make their Broadway returns, in Larissa FastHorse's The Thanksgiving Play at the Helen Hayes Theatre.

The production, scheduled to begin performances on March 25 and open on April 20, will be directed by Rachel Chavkin. It will mark the Broadway debut of playwright FastHorse and her comedy, which premiered in a different production at Playwrights Horizons in 2018.

The Thanksgiving Play, which opens April 20, is a satire that follows a troupe of woke theater artists trying to put on a culturally sensitive school Thanksgiving pageant. In our review of the original production, TheaterMania chief critic Zachary Stewart said, "The Thanksgiving Play delightfully skewers fashionable correctness, a religion whose adherents rarely contribute anything productive to the conversation out of a fear of being incorrect. FastHorse is clearly unrestrained by such fear, making her voice a refreshing addition to the New York theater." Read the full review here.

This Thanksgiving Play will have scenic design by Riccardo Hernandez, costume design by Lux Haac, lighting design by Jeanette Oui-Suk Yew, sound design by Mikaal Sulaiman, and video/projection design by David Bengali.
