Tony Award nominee Daphne Rubin-Vega has found a new way to pay the rent. She will appear on NBC’s musical drama Smash during its second season, playing a Broadway publicist, according to EW.com.
Rubin-Vega’s many Broadway credits include Rent, Anna in the Tropics, and A Streetcar Named Desire.
The show’s cast includes Debra Messing, Christian Borle, Anjelica Huston, Megan Hilty, Katharine McPhee, Jack Davenport, and Leslie Odom, Jr.
The show’s second season will feature numerous new cast members and guest stars, including Jennifer Hudson, Jesse L. Martin, Nikki Blonsky, Jeremy Jordan, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Daniel Sunjata, Andy Mientus, Bernadette Peters, and Krysta Rodriguez.
